Bringing in the pennies ...

Okay so I have been some what neglecting this blog recently. My apologies but I have had the worst week ever!!

But anyway this blog is about making some lovely money and not procrastinating (sp) on the petty little things that life throughs at you!!!

Listed quite a few items on eBay last Sunday which all ended last night. Seven out of 9 items sold which was surprising! Made £26 I think, so about £23 after fees? Not much but its all going towards my goal!

Will update my totals on the 31st!

I can't think of a title =(

Just a quick update today...

Argh my laptop seems to be playing up. The space bar is being sporadic when it decides to work and the charger, well lets not go there!

Anyway,on a more positive note, the company that I purchased my ironing board from are sending me a replacement so thats a saving of about £30.

Listed at least 9 items on eBay. A few watchers and one bid. Yay!!

Will need to upload more onto eBay. Hopefully it will sell.

Every little counts...

Wow, I have always liked saving (or I prefer spending other peoples money rather than my own lol - brilliant when my fiancé and I did not have a house, a baby or other committments!!) and I always feel guilty spending money on "non essentials". Now, thanks to this challenge I see it as more of a game, hopefully with a brilliant ending.

Now with birthdays etc I am very savvy. I use vouchers gained from survey sites and DooYoo and for some reason I always feel more proud giving these presents as I feel that I have done that little extra to get them. It also means that I am 'money neutral' so to speak. I must admit that I am a little sneaky with this though - I use the vouchers to purchase presents then the amount I would of spent in 'real money' gets transfered into my savings account. Shhh do not tell my other half - it the only way we would ever save any money!

Anyway, while shopping for those little 'mindings' for my fiancés birthday (tomorrow eek!!) I actually saved money. My original thought was to make him an 'Xbox gaming hamper' yet somehow I do not like just giving him a hamper. For the last few years he never received many presents so I like him to have something to open. So it has become a gaming goody bag! I had already gotten him a game (in the sales of course), a wireless headset (vouchers) and now after taking advice from the craft thread on MSE I was adding energy drinks and 'sucky' sweets. I managed to pick up Red Bull for 79p a can (RRP £1.15) and Fox's fruit glaciér sweets for 69p (RRP 99p. So an overall saving of £1.02. Yipee - but every little does help! I'll be transferring that £1.02 into my savings - stops me spending it on useless things!

So anyway, ramblings over!

Course of action this weekend;

Get everything ready for free listing on eBay tomorrow.
Get my backside into gear and get some more reveiws written on DooYoo
Try and get my head around matched betting (thanks to BetMunch)

I may be a lottery ticket, don't know how lucky I feel.

Well I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

Busy, Busy Little Bee ...

Well I've been mega busy today! Mainly trying to declutter the house and see what *treasures* I could find that could sell on eBay. It's free listing on Sunday so hopefully I'll get them all listed then!!

While cleaning I found that grand total of 5p - yay!

Also got a guide to 'daily clicks' from a fellow MSE'er so hopefully I can start to make money through this as well.

I'm feeling positive, that money is mine!!! =)

Time for more money making ...

Well thankfully thats my exam over and done with - wasn't too bad. So fingers crossed for that one! **Pretending that I do not have an essay due on 3rd February and another possible exam on the same date**

Since I have a few days off without revision I am going to focus more on making some more shiny pennies!

I 'found' £18 in a current account that I know longer use - bonus (and this account is now my 'virtual pot' so that I do not need to put it into my savings just yet!

Tomorrow I am going to gut the house and sell anything that I do not need and/or use!

Got to the second stage for an 'at home transcriber/virtual assistant' so i'll send back the info
tomorrow - fingers crossed again

As my maternity leave ends on the 15th February I have applied for a few part time bar jobs.

I'll update my totals at the end of each month I think, hopefully I will be pleasently surprised at the total.

My first ever post!

Wow, this is my first post on my shiny new blog.

I have joined a challenge on www.moneysavingexpert.com called "Turn £100 into £10,000 by the end of 2010". Now I do not think that I will make anywhere near the £10,000 mark but if I aim high then hopefully i'll do well.

This blog is mainly for me to map my own progress (otherwise i'll probably give up =( ), if anyone wishes to join in then thats great.

Now so far I have managed too save:

At least £100 in a old SMA tin.
£20.01 coming from PayPal (eBay sales and survey sites)
£348.00 money that I've saved in my account last month (went onto SMP so just told myself I had no money - end result was this nice amount left in my account)

Projects still ongoing:

Decluttering and putting my tat (ahem treasures) on eBay
DooYoo reveiws

Anyway I must be off, need to revise for my college exam - eek!
